Suffolk-based artist Loraine's paintings and sketches are inspired by local walks in Suffolk, including landscape and woodlands to the energy of the coast, returning often as the seasons and rhythms change throughout the year. Loraine also makes unique papier mache boxes and dries flowers and other foliage.

Describe your art/craft?
I am primarily an oil Painter, my local landscape I use as a spring board to explore colour, texture and pattern. I am a gardener and grower. I mix and match my work of handmade cards, oil paintings, dried material and quirky handmade boxes.
How long have you been creating? How did you learn your craft or were you self-taught?
I have enjoyed creativity most of my life. I am mainly self taught and mix with attending various art courses, floristry and digging around in my garden.
What are your favourite art/craft 'tools of the trade'?
Brushes, sticks, scissors, spades and trowels.
Where is your creative space?
A Combination of my upstairs studio for painting, and outside in my garden.
What do you watch or listen to when you're creating?
Radio dramas when painting, nature noises out in the garden.
What's your best selling product?
I have sold various art works in Suffolk.
Favourite thing you've ever created? Do you still have it, or did you sell/gift it?
I don’t think I have a favourite!
Random fact about yourself?
I love going out exploring in our campervan.
What new craft would you love to try?
Mosaics, I love pattern.

I am part of the Suffolk Open Studios, and exhibit at the George Farnham gallery in Saxmundham.
