Relocated in 2023 from the Isle of Skye to Suffolk, Sally is a true artisan maker of extraordinary and beautiful tweed ponchos, tweed bags, tweed cushions and more, all using beautifully dyed handspun yarn from Jacob Sheep. Look out for her range of soft and harmonious colours, all reminiscent of the Scottish scenery.

Describe your art/craft?
Anything wool related, including spinning, knitting and weaving but with emphasis on Harris Tweed fabric to make my handbags, ponchos and cushions.
How long have you been creating? How did you learn your craft or were you self-taught?
I have been a needlewoman all my life. I learned to spin after my sheep were sheared the forst year on Skye and I haven't looked back since.
What are your favourite art/craft 'tools of the trade'?
My sewing machines and spinning wheel.
Where is your creative space?
My craft room.
What do you watch or listen to when you're creating?
Radio

Ponchos and handbags
Favourite thing you've ever created? Do you still have it, or did you sell/gift it?
I love everything I make but the one thing I would never part with has to be my handspun and knitted shawl, made from my own Jacob fleece.

Lived on the Isle of Skye for 14 years where I had my own studio
What new craft would you love to try?
I've tried many crafts over the years, but not sure that I have time for any more!
